This June, for PRIDE 🏳️🌈 month, I want to address the elephant in the room. Let's put it out there, all the dumb lies 🤥(sorry, not sorry) homophobes think....and in the coddled presence of their own kind, say. Let's do some fact checking:
1. Homophobes: 'Being LGBTQ+ is a mental disorder.'
Fact: Removed from DSM in 1973, considered normal variant of sexuality/gender identity. "Crazy" is just their fashion sense. 💃
2.Homophobes: 'LGBTQ+ people are more likely to be pedophiles.'
Fact: No scientific correlation; pedophilia is separate from LGBTQ+ identities. Because being gay isn't at all related to being a creep. 😤
3.Homophobes: 'Homosexuality is "unnatural." '
Fact: Found in over 1,500 animal species, considered natural behavior. Your dog is gayer than you think. 🫢
4.Homophobes: 'LGBTQ+ individuals are less monogamous.'
Fact: Studies show similar monogamy rates among LGBTQ+ and straight couples. They just have better dating apps. 📱
5.Homophobes: 'Trans people are "pretending" to be another gender.'
Fact: Gender dysphoria is real; trans people align with their true gender identity. Like when you pretend to be a functioning adult. 🙄

Fact: Studies show LGBTQ+ parents are just as effective and loving as straight parents. Kids love rainbows and stability. 🌈
7.Homophobes: 'Homosexuality is a "Western" phenomenon.'
Fact: This one isn't so much homophobic as it is just uncultured. LGBTQ+ identities and cultures exist worldwide, throughout history. Ancient Greeks were low-key gay icons. 🏺
8.Homophobes: 'LGBTQ+ individuals are more promiscuous.'
Fact: No scientific evidence supports this claim; promiscuity varies among all individuals. Your aunt is probably more wild. 👵
9.Homophobes: 'Conversion therapy can "cure" LGBTQ+ people.'
Fact: Conversion therapy is widely discredited, harmful, and ineffective. Because being gay isn't a disease, duh. 😳
10.Homophobes: 'LGBTQ+ people are less patriotic or loyal to their countries.'
Fact: LGBTQ+ individuals serve in military, government, and other patriotic roles equally. They just accessorize their uniforms better. 💅🏾
