So first of all, my husband told me this post might have some backlash. That I might lose readers. Let me just tell y'all right now, if you don't like my supporting the LGBTQ community, then I don't want you as a reader. I don't feel strongly about many things, but homophobia is right up there with racism, in my book. To the rest of y'all, I love you. I'm glad you're here. This post isn't intended to be an advertisement for my products (well, maybe a little) but I want to start by showing you what caused the uproar. Step into my office...
Yesterday I posted some of the above merchandise with a small call to action from my followers and some hash tags. I posted on my page, in some LGBTQ groups I'm a member of, and some small business sites I'm a member of. I started getting responses within seconds! People had things to say! Wouldn't you know that not even an hour later, my Facebook and Instagram were both shut down--I was completely removed from the sites for "violating the community standards." This went on for about 24 hours before they gave me my access back....and when they did, it was minimal access, AND my above posts/products had been completely removed. Now why do you think that is?! I have a guess...
I went online tonight to repost my post. It has been more than three hours, and it still hasn't uploaded. It simply says, 'loading....82%.' I have never had to wait before to make a post, AND I paid money for it to be a boosted post. You know you can do that, right? Yessssss you can pay money to have META show your posts to more people than would normally see them. It's an advertisement, of sorts. So even with me offering them my credit card, they're not reposting my post that somehow 'violated community standards.' By supporting the LGBTQ community. Tell me, friends, what's up with that? Are we not in 2025?! We shall see what happens with this blog post and my sharing it on socials, am I right?!
