- You can wear denim after thirty, but I was worried about this one as I approached thirty. I have two pieces that are staples of my closet that are denim, although only one is denim. Same rules apply!

- Sequins Shine Anytime
- We don't have to save sequins for formal events anymore. Now you'll see sequins on dresses, shirts, and sweaters everywhere!

- Pattern Mixing Isn't Chaos
- You still wanna be slightly careful with this, don't overdo it, but you can absolutely mix patterns--sometimes it looks amazing!

- You can Totally Wear Black After Labor Day
- I'm doing it today! But wait, is it after Labor Day?! Your gnome-themed home decor can be black all year round, too--although I don't design much with black in it. You're lucky there, maybe.
Hopefully that helps break some of the Stigma associated with these silly fashion rules that have come to be over the years. People just need to keep an open mind is all, and I think folks forget that. Or they don't want to--either way. All you can control is you!
