For those of you who know me personally, you know that I struggle with, ahem, my temper. A little. At times. I'm getting better in my old age, ha. But I had two incidents this week that set back my shop.
So I told you I've begun collaborating with some influencers. I make them and give them some clothes that they like, and they wear them for their gazillion followers (compared to my small amount!). For some, you pay them a little, some a lot, some you gift them with merchandise. It depends on your agreement. Anyway I have an amazing couple I'm working with (more to come), and then another...the other, let's call her Denise. For Denise I created completely new designs. Just for her and what she liked/wanted/made her feel comfortable. Then I bought the merchandise (it's not free) and had it shipped to her. I was given a tentative arrival date by the production company. Well that date came and went. When I finally got an answer, I found that this particular item comes from China (this is not new information) and that it's their Lunar New Year (this was new information to me). They close for more than a week for their holiday. So Denise is mad that her items won't get to her before Valentine's Day (don't you think I'd be the one mad, now I've spent this money for nothing) and she now refuses to wear the merchandise that's still coming to her house. Right. Anyone else think she won't wear it to promote for me, but when it gets there, she'll wear it (it's cute)?! Anyway I responded to her rude blame of me for the Chinese holiday the best I knew how and that ended in me mad and her blocked. Ugh.
Next was an online selling marketplace. Let's call them Schmetzy. Long story short, you better not need to make updates to your debit card with Schmetzy. They won't notify you, and then they'll suspend your page. With still no notice, no explanation, no email, and no way to get into contact with them. Upon further review, I found out that Schmetzy suspends peoples' accounts for all kinds of things! Even, get this, if you need to update your info for your deposit account. Meaning they don't have a way to pay you. That's still enough to get suspended. So I deleted my account in total. Forget Schmetzy and their power trip.
But now, I've figured out how to integrate my store into this blogging website! I know that may sound silly, like duh, but I'm not super duper computer savvy. That being said, I'm quite proud of myself! You're proud too?! Thank you, thank you very much. What does the website look like, you ask? What products does it feature?!
